Driving me crazy

Phew ! what a crime, two weeks without any serious blogging. There are two primary reasons for that, first of all there is this work pressure and second of all , the arrival of my new car( Maruti Swift). But how could a new car prevent me from blogging, I need a reason people and this seems to be quite a valid one. Driving a car in India and more importantly Chennai is quite a madness. It was two weeks after I got my car, that I realised that I had a fifth gear. The cyclist and the pedestrians really get on to my arteries ( why should everyone always get onto my nerves, they are clogged ) if you discount the holy cow that is.
The holy cow
The holy cow, very holy as you could have figured out by now, and for that same reason I cannot drive over it and make into a delicious dish on somebody's dining table. It is deaf, blind and worse than the pedestrians when it comes to following traffic rules. The irony is you cant even fine them for jay walking.
The Pedestrian
I can understand why the holy cow never crosses using the zebra-crossing, being an animal, it may have an inherent fear for another animal. But why these pedestrians zip across the road is beyond my scope of limited intelligence. The more amazing fact is most these pedestrians are neither deaf nor blind.
The cyclist
You might want to think that the cyclist is a good guy because he is adding less of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, but the glib side is that the cyclist is also adding more car driving souls into heaven. They make it a point to ride the cycle right in middle of the road and if you honk the horn, the would give you a stare which will make you feel guilty. If singles in cycle will drive you mad, imaging two people sitting and meandering down the main road.
Long live the holy cow, pedestrian and the cyclist
Your blog was very funny - I esp. liked hard thinking about the Zebra crossing and cyclists sending drivers to heaven. Will visit your blog often. Keep it up.
good work dude..
sind dear! you cannot suddenly develop a condescending attitude for pedestrians - now when you own a car!!
if u think from their point of view.. u'd realise that they dont give a damn whether or not ur car has space to move around..
So!i know this wud get cliched.. but "Stop being judgemental"!
(nice post, however!)
infinite dear, i am not being judgemental. leave the crossing, why cant they walk on the pavements on roads where it is there. Why dont i give a damn and ride over one of them. May be i will do that once near the nilgiris supermarket on airport road.
hehe! yeah right!
may be you are the one who'd push me to salvation sooner than long! :-D
"Long live the holy cow, pedestrian and the cyclist"
what abt car owners? ;-)
they would all be dead :D
